Treat Acne Early To Avoid Acne Scars

The body’s inflammatory reaction to acne lesion is the cause of acne scars. The best way to prevent scars is to treat acne early. Some people tolerate their acne scars throughout their life with out thinking much about it. In some people the skin goes through some changes and acne scars reduce in size. Mostly scars are formed because of two reasons. One is caused by increased formation of tissue called keloids and other scars are caused by loss of tissue.
Overproduction of structural protein increases the size of the tissues causing firm, smooth, and irregular-shaped scar called keloids. Most of the scars caused by loss of tissue are called ice pick scars. These are long, narrow and deep scars that can be seen on the cheeks. These scars are caused by deep papule or cyst.                                                          
 
To control and minimize your acne you have to follow some acne tips. First of all, you have to drink at least two liters of water everyday to hydrate your skin and shed out the dead skin cells which blocks the pores causing acne. You should be in the habit of drinking ripe fruit juices, eating fresh vegetable salads, and snacks of nuts and seeds once a day. You should reduce the intake of sugar, refined carbohydrates, stimulant drinks, etc. You have to control your stress that releases the hormone cortisol, to reduce acne. Yoga and meditation will help you to control stress. You should do some exercise to increase the blood flow and for a glowing complexion.
 
The first step of acne medication is to clean and open the pores and kill bacteria. You can use mild cleansing agent to clean the skin. To remove outer layer of the skin and open pores you can use mild scrubs or exfoliants. You should use antibacterial cleansers like benzoyl peroxide to kill bacteria. After that you should apply gels creams and lotions which are suitable for your skin type, on the affected area. Consult with a dermatologist to know your skin and choose medication.
