With the positive report of your pregnancy test comes a series of hormonal and emotional changes within you and your environment. A little care and preparation during your pregnancy stages can render the entire period exultant. During all pregnancy stages, it is important to keep yourself active. A number of exercises and yoga asanas should be practiced during your pregnancy. Eating green leafy vegetables and having protein and calcium rich diet prevents your body from any kind of permanent damage. It is important for your partner to understand pregnancy as much as it is for you so that he understands the changes involved and hence remain equally contributable toward your health and that of the baby. A brief trimester wise explanation of the emotional changes during pregnancy has been described below to broaden your understanding:
First Trimester Changes
Its exciting to know that you are pregnant and about to become a mother. However, chemical changes inside your body may make you either highly anxious or very sad, at times. At some other times, you may feel absolutely joyful as you are on you way to motherhood.
Second Trimester Changes
After going through three months’ pregnancy i.e. entering into your second trimester you will gain more energy and great confidence about becoming a mom. Despite the chemical changes your body must be going through and the exhaustiveness you might feel carrying the baby within, you will generally be pleased about bearing a life.
Third Trimester Changes
It is the time when you are experiencing the last 3 months of the pregnancy period. During this time, you will be visiting your doctor, or medical practitioner caring for you, more than often. Along with this, you will prepare the things or the place which your baby will need. The last trimester will witness you putting on a lot of weight, having lower back pain, feeling tired more often, and a number of pregnancy symptoms.
But these are normal changes and happen with every woman. So, not much anxiety should be shown toward them and the would-be moms should be preparing themselves to welcome the little one.
