Back pain is the feeling of pain in the body structure of the back. In our body structure, our back is one of the most intricate parts. Nowadays, back pain is one of the common health problems that most people are facing. Sometimes, back pain occurs due to simple reasons like over exertion or doing a particular hard work which you are not familiar with, and it will be alright within two or three days by taking rest. There are so many reasons for back pain and some of causes of this pain can be prevented by us.
Back pain causes strain mostly the lower portion of the back. Moving the muscles in the back in an uncomfortable way, distort the muscles causing pain. It will also happen when a person raises or lifts heavy things without proper technique. Our back structure contains bones, tendons, disks, and ligaments. A disk is the layer of cartilage between the vertebrae. When the cartilages worn out or damaged causes a lot of pain in the back . Sometimes, these cartilages rupture or bulge out from its original place and press on the nerves of the adjoining areas causing severe pain. Other causes of back pain may be because of arthritis, irregularities in the skeleton, osteoporosis, etc.
Back pain treatments are more than one. The choice mainly depends upon the cause of pain. Resting for two or three days and taking pain killers can cure minor problems. If you are not getting better, may be it is a severe problem; then seek the advice of a good doctor. Stronger medicines prescribed by him or her may work better for you. Overweight also can cause back pain because it affects your good posture causing strain to the muscles of your back. So it is necessary to take exercise to strengthen your muscles, maintain healthy body weight, to have a good posture, and to ultimately get rid of back pain.
