Pregnancy is a wonderful experience and there are several common and uncommon signs of pregnancy witnessed by different women. One needs to be aware about the various pregnancy symptoms to know when to approach a doctor. It is not only the pregnancy signs that differ from women to women, but their intensity may also vary from one to the other.

Some Common Signs Of Pregnancy

While some women witness pregnancy symptoms within a week of conception, others may have to wait for a couple of weeks. And there can be some women who may not witness most of these symptoms. A women’s body undergoes significant hormonal changes, since a new life has begun to grow inside it.

Some Of The Most Common Initial Symptoms Are:

* Missing Of Periods: Is almost essential and the most noticeable symptoms for pregnant women. However, missing of periods can be due to some other reasons too.

***** Soreness And Enlargement Of Breasts: A women’s breast may witness several changes, in terms of size and tenderness. The breasts start preparing for the arrival of the baby and for feeding it.

In case a woman experiences all or any of these symptoms, she should go for a pregnancy test to get it confirmed. However, there are certain other signs of pregnancy, although most of them are witnessed in the later stages.

* Frequent Urination: The swollen uterus puts pressure on a women’s gall bladder and increases the urge to urinate. In addition, the production of hormone HCG Human Chronic Gonadotropin also leads to frequent urination.

** Change In Taste: Most women experience a change in their taste buds and experience cravings for eating sweets or other specific foods.

*** Increased Sensitivity To A Particular Smell: Pregnant women generally develop increased sensitivity to smell of a particular food or thing. While smell of certain things may be liked by pregnant women, aroma of certain other things may make her feel nauseated.

**** Acidity And Constipation: The hormonal changes are responsible for increased acidity and sometimes constipation. The digestive system of a pregnant lady may become weak and thus lead to heartburn.

***** Weight Gain And Pain In The Lower Back: Experienced after a few months of pregnancy, these symptoms are quite common amongst pregnant women. The pain in the lower back occurs as the baby grows and the lady’s posture changes to carry the weight of the baby too.

****** Changes In Mood: Emotional changes also form a part of the main signs of pregnancy. Women tend to get depressed quite easily or may feel elated at minor issues.
