Diet And Acne Correlated

Thursday, April 9th, 2009 by justinsmith

04/07/2009: Teenagers across the globe are reported finding solution to whether what they eat affects their skin. This time they have got the answer to all their queries regarding how diet and acne are correlated. Skin as we all know is the largest body organ. Whatever a person does to any of the body parts directly affects the remaining parts. As per the researchers, whatever we eat adds a difference to our skin. They stated that commenting that diet has no affect on the skin is the same as declaring that consuming alcohol daily makes no difference to the liver.

The present findings are against the popular belief that eating chocolate has no bearing on acne occurrence. Contrastingly, the skin of some people is so sensitive to chocolate that it may result into acne breakouts. In fact, chocolate turns the oil in skin a bit more sticky and does not allow to flow out of the pores readily. This can add pimples to your face. If someone has acne and stops having chocolate for one month, he will definitely see some improvement.

Acne develops due to P. Acnes bacterium. White blood cells in our body are intended to eat the harmful bacteria and protect our body from external and internal injuries. This is termed as the body’s automatic defense system. White blood cells are fond of eating sugar. They prefer eating sugar to eating harmful bacteria. Therefore, when you increase your sugar intake, the WBCs would start eating the sugar rather than eating the disease causing bacteria. This would further allow P. Acnes to grow and appear pimples.

Vibrant health will gift you with a lovely looking skin. Stuffing your sticky face with fresh, raw veggies, eggs, tofu, legume, beans, nuts, and fruits will turn your skin looking gorgeous. See the difference it brings about in your skin!

Laser Treatment Brings Revolution Among Acne Sufferers

Tuesday, March 24th, 2009 by justinsmith

During Teenage, one undergoes both pleasures and pains. The appearance of acne is the most traumatic experience for all teenagers. For some of them, acne isn’t just a matter of annoyance. It is in fact a grave and disfiguring skin trouble. We are fortunate that these days good treatments are available for all almost all acne cases except for the most severe ones. One such treatment to name is: Laser Treatment. It is showing astonishing results. It is done not by using drugs, but rather by applying a laser technique.

Being a teenager is already a tough enough experience in its own.  And if we add severe acne to it we can well imagine what Ashley Torres must have gone through.

She told the agency people that she was self conscious regarding how her skin looked. She always broke out waking up and looking in the mirror.   Torres said that she wanted to put on makeup all the time, just to cover her embarrassing acne up. She didn’t even want to go to school without wearing any makeup.

Ashley tried every possible treatment – the common treatments, recommended ointments, lotions and antibiotics – but nothing could help her for long.

However, skin specialists strongly restrict the use of Accutane. Without some timely intervention, younger lot  like Ashley suffer from scars both bodily and sensitively.

Eminent dermatologist Dr. Judith Hellman is of the opinion that acne really kills the teenager’s self-esteem. He further stated elaborating their pathetic condition that they cannot date, they can’t have friends, and they can’t attend parties. And sometimes it interferes with their jobs and with their job hunt.

Ashley, being fortunate enough, is undergoing a new laser therapy. She is getting her skin cleared up. She will soon get rid of them using protective glasses and applying a little bit of cooling gel.

Dr. Hellman stated that after a number of treatment sessions, no more blood vessels remain to feed and support the acne, so they simply do not reappear.
